One of the most eagerly awaited credit card offers of the year has arrived, though not quite as expected. Recent speculation and leaks hinted at an American Express Marriott Bonvoy points transfer promotion for Centurion and Platinum Charge Card members.
While the offer is now live, it falls short of the anticipated 30% bonus. Instead, American Express Platinum Charge Cardholders who transfer their Rewards Points to Marriott Bonvoy during the promotional period will receive an additional 10% in Marriott Bonvoy Points.
Cardmembers will earn a 10% bonus on every eligible Membership Rewards points transfer made between February 17, 2025, and April 16, 2025.

How to Transfer Points to Marriott Bonvoy
Marriott is a globally recognized hotel chain, featuring over 30 hotel brands, with Marriott Bonvoy as its dedicated loyalty program. In India, American Express Credit Cards and Marriott Bonvoy share a strong association among cardholders. Notably, Marriott Bonvoy remains the most popular points transfer partner for American Express Credit Card users. Reward Points can be transferred to Marriott Bonvoy at a 1:1 ratio.
Offer Terms:
- Applicable only to The American Express Centurion Card and The American Express Platinum Card.
- Bonus Marriott Bonvoy Points will be awarded for successful transfers of Membership Rewards points made between February 17, 2025, and April 16, 2025.
- Transfers must be at least 100 Membership Rewards Points per transaction, with a maximum limit of 900,000 Points per transaction.
- Each cardholder can earn up to 25,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy Points during the offer period.
To maximize the bonus, American Express Platinum Charge Cardholders should transfer 250,000 Membership Rewards (MR) Points to Marriott Bonvoy, ensuring they receive the full 25,000-point bonus. While some expected a larger bonus this year, this remains the best available offer.
Unfortunately, Membership Rewards, Platinum Travel, and Gold Charge cardholders are not eligible for this promotion. While a 10% bonus can still be beneficial for those planning a Marriott stay, those hoping for a higher incentive may find the offer underwhelming.
