Air Accident Cover Removed from SBI KrisFlyer Credit Cards

Published on

Earlier, SBI Card had discontinued the air accident insurance benefit on several of its credit cards, effective July 15. Unlike previous updates, which were reflected on the customer notices page, this change has only been made on the individual KrisFlyer SBI Credit Card product page.

Effective July 26, the ₹1 crore air accident cover on the KrisFlyer SBI Credit Card and the ₹3.5 crore cover on the KrisFlyer SBI Apex Credit Card will no longer be offered. While such a revision might typically be seen as a minor adjustment, in light of the current global aviation environment, it marks a noteworthy downgrade — yet another addition to the growing list of recent benefit reductions.
