Customers must be eager to understand how their existing reward points will be affected as the migration of Citi’s retail banking business to Axis Bank nears completion.

To be finalised by July 15, 2024, the migration brings several changes, but Axis Bank assures a smooth transition for Citi cardholders.

Key details of the migration:

Current Citi credit card numbers will remain unchanged, although the features will shift to the corresponding Axis Bank cards.

Citi-branded cards will remain functional until new Axis Bank cards are issued, which will occur a few months post-migration.

What happens to Citi Points on migration to Axis Bank?

All unredeemed reward points as of the migration date will be converted to Axis EDGE Reward Points or EDGE Miles, depending on the product.

Axis Bank said that the monetary value of these points will remain unchanged.

Additionally, while points accumulated before the migration will not expire, those earned after migration will have a three-year validity period.
