Kotak Mahindra Bank to Resume Credit Card Issuance, Rumored Launch of Solitaire Credit Card

Kotak Mahindra Bank is preparing to resume credit card issuance after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) lifted a nearly 10-month ban. Alongside this, rumors are circulating about the launch of a new super-premium credit card by the end of March. While the bank has not officially confirmed the news, reports on platforms like X suggest that Kotak is planning to introduce the Solitaire Credit Card, an exclusive invite-only offering for its high-net-worth customers, packed with luxury travel and lifestyle perks.

Expected Features of the Kotak Solitaire Credit Card

Eligibility: Invite-only for Solitaire customers with a Total Relationship Value (TRV) of ₹75 lakh for savings accounts or ₹1 crore for current accounts.

Annual Benefits: Estimated at ₹2.5 lakh.

Rewards Program: Earn 10% reward points on flight and hotel bookings through MB Embark, 3% on other expenses, including advance tax payments.

Redemption Options: Redeem points for up to six domestic and two international flight tickets, or for vouchers.

Forex Benefits: Zero foreign exchange markup.

Luxury Benefits: Special offers at ITC Hotels, such as Book 2 Nights, Pay for 1.

Lounge Access: Unlimited access to domestic and international airport lounges for the cardholder, with additional access for family and guests.

Airline Transfer Program: Likely to launch soon.

The Solitaire Credit Card is expected to launch by the end of March, with availability possibly starting in April 2025. If the rumored features are accurate, the card could pose strong competition to premium offerings like the HDFC Infinia and ICICI Times Black Credit Card.

Additionally, there is speculation that Kotak Mahindra Bank may also introduce new co-branded travel credit cards. With no official confirmation yet, enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting an announcement from the bank.
